About Lisa Baue: Your Funeral Coach
Lisa Baue is a third-generation funeral director with over 44 years of experience in the deathcare profession. Lisa was the President and CEO of Baue Funeral Homes for 32 years, transforming it into one of the leading firms in the Profession serving over 2,500 families a year. She grew it to multiple chapel locations including an 80 acre cemetery, a Centralized Care & Cremation Center, a Cremation Society and a Pet Cremation Business. In 2019, Lisa sold her business and founded Your Funeral Coach to help others grow themselves, others, their businesses, and next generations.
What Drives Lisa
Lisa founded Your Funeral Coach in 2021 because she has a passion for mentoring, coaching, and growing leaders at all levels which in turn will grow businesses. The need for personalized coaching and employee engagement in small and medium sized businesses is a gap that Lisa’s company fills.
Women in Funeral Service
A trailblazer for women in the profession, Lisa established a women’s scholarship program in 2020 and actively promotes the development of women as leaders, professionals, and owners. She recently served as the first woman chair of the Board of Trustees of the Funeral Service Foundation for 2022/2023. Lisa sponsors the Professional Women’s Conference each year for NFDA as well as the Women in Funeral Service Community for Selected Independent Funeral Homes where she also volunteers as a mentor in their Leadership Academy. She is also a member and supporter of Death Care Collective (DCC) an online group that supports women in the profession.
Outside of her professional life, Lisa enjoys the great outdoors, riding horses, her two doodle dogs, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband Monte, and her family, her four children, five grandchildren.
